Join the DB Spain Risk team in Madrid as a Risk Frameworks Senior Specialist within the Enterprise Risk Management team.

As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, where your expertise will drive the analysis and evaluation of credit risk models for PB Spain portfolios. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that DB Spain credit risk models are adequately overhauled (as part of a multi-year programme with global methodology teams), and provide support in order to have their accuracy further improved over time.

Responsibilities
- Lead locally a multi-year programme to further overhaul PB Spain credit risk models (incl. LGD and CCF), with deep interaction with relevant global / local teams, including global methodology teams, finance, owners of local applications, etc.
- Ensure that all the credit risk data used in the models is accurate, and that any potential change in the information is fully aligned to regulatory requirements, incl. IFRS 9 (stages and triggers), the new Definition of Default, or the CRR3 regulation.
- Local expert for PD calculation for PB Spain retail portfolio.
- Identify potential issues in the data quality of the risk processes information in order to define and implement actions addressed to solve the identified issues and to improve the data quality in the risk processes.
- Candidate will be required to develop tasks proactively and maintain professional relationships with local and global Risk colleagues, the business areas and other infrastructure teams.
Skills
- We are seeking experienced professionals with deep expertise in the development of credit risk models for retail portfolios, focused on the calculation of Expected Credit Loss (IFRS 9) and capital (RWAs). A strong understanding of IFRS 9, CRR3 and new Definition of Default regulations is highly preferred.
- Background in Business Administration (ADE), Engineering, Science Degree (e.g. Physics) or related fields, with solid knowledge of risk parameters, especially in advanced risk models (IRBA) under CRR. Strong background in credit risk management, audit or consulting area specialized in credit risk management is desirable.
- Deep knowledge of SAS is essential, Python knowledge is recommended. Strong quantitative and qualitative credit data analysis skills required.
- Flexible, proactive, results-driven professional with a strong focus on innovation. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask effectively, and keep an eye for identifying and evaluating processes, controls and risks.
- A highly communicative professional with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both Spanish and English. Capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
