Team / division overview

The Finance Sustainability function serves as a standalone team responsible for the implementation and coordination of all group-related sustainability reporting and ESG related work such as sustainability ratings in Finance. Sustainability has been core to DWS strategic objectives, and the CFO division has a critical role to play in ensuring its success. The Finance Sustainability function works across DWS including teams in the Group Sustainability Strategy, Sustainability Risk, Procurement and all front office divisions.

The fast-moving regulatory landscape against a backdrop of global action on climate change and other sustainability matters places the team at the forefront of DWS’ work in this area.

Your responsibilities:

As our Senior Finance Manager – Sustainability, VP, you will:

  • Lead the project management of group-related sustainability disclosures, in particular Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Support preparation and implementation of actions stemming from sustainability regulatory disclosure requirements across affected divisions
  • Act as change relationship manager for divisional content owners
  • Act as key contact to auditors throughout Annual Report production until publication
  • Support as well as lead the preparation of presentations to internal (senior) stakeholders
  • Driving the local sustainability agenda including raising awareness of sustainability topics and trainings
  • General support to the Finance Sustainability team as required

We are looking for:

  • Project management experience working across multiple locations
  • Awareness of audit, assurance, and control related topics
  • Experience in the preparation and coordination of internal and external reports and presentations
  • Experience working with data including spreadsheet skills
  • Good understanding of the Asset Management industry and the corresponding value chain
  • Interest and / or experience in ESG and sustainability-related topics
  • Proactive, independent, structured, efficient, and result-oriented working style
  • Able to operate effectively within a global organisation working with teams across multiple locations
  • University degree or equivalent in Finance and / or Sustainability-related topic
