Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

As an IT Application Owner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of one or more critical applications within Deutsche Bank’s technology landscape. This includes ownership of application lifecycle management, ensuring operational stability, managing upgrades, and aligning technical strategy with business goals. You will act as the key liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned IT applications, from design and development to support and decommissioning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, performance monitoring, and incident resolution.
  • Ensure applications comply with Deutsche Bank’s regulatory, security, and risk standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and prioritize change requests.
  • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration records for all owned applications.
  • Plan and execute application disaster recovery, failover testing, and ensure high availability.
  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure optimal performance and availability of applications.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in project management and knowledge of Office Suite.
  • Experience in IT application management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, application integration, and system architecture.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience in incident, change, and problem management.
  • Knowledge of one or more technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, SQL, Oracle, Linux, Windows Server).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
