Overview:
As the Head of HR for Philippines Delivery Hub, you will be play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy for DB in Philippines and drive HR initiatives to support our business objectives. You will lead a team of 29 HR professionals and partner with country leadership for strategic and operational leadership. Core expectations of this role are 1) Functional leadership and partnership across HR, 2) Governance, controls, culture of excellence, 3) Team / People Leadership, 4) Business partnership, ownership and accountability.
Your key responsibilities:
- Creation and Implementation of HR’s people strategy that is aligned to Business vision and priorities in partnership with Country leadership team, Regional Head of HR and regional business partners.
- Provide HR functional leadership, fostering strong partnership, collaboration, and engagement with the broader HR function, including regional and global stakeholders across business partner, product, country teams and process owners to provide the relevant HR solutions
- Establish strong HR business partnerships by building trusted advisor relationships with, local, regional and global stakeholders, providing independent HR guidance and advice, and taking ownership and accountability for all HR delivery and activities in the country in accordance with DB policies and government regulations.
- Strengthen leadership effectiveness and talent pipeline for key senior roles in Philippines.
- Create a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
- Drive the global processes in country or sub-division, e.g. year-end compensation and promotion process and talent management, ensuring fair and consistent decisions are made with appropriate business management governance and ownership.
- Use key qualitative and quantitative metrics for key decisions and HR strategies
- Drive the DEI strategy for the Philippines overseeing ERGs in implementing required diversity initiatives to raise awareness and improve gender diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in senior leadership team meetings consulting on various HR topics like leadership, policies and practices, regulatory requirements, diversity and inclusion and talent management and retention
- Provide people leadership by fostering an inclusive culture of continuous learning and feedback culture, sharing best practices, and actively supporting the development of the HR team.
- Responsible for robust governance, risk and controls, to ensure all HR processes comply with internal policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements resulting in a culture of excellence and effective HR operations.
- Ensures regulatory compliance (eg. DOLE, central bank) and timely audit closure while promoting a culture of operational discipline and excellence
- Work closely with Compliance, Audit, Legal, Business Continuity, Corporate Real Estates and IT to implement local regulatory, legislative or organizational changes.
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum 15+ years HR experience including knowledge of various HR disciplines, policies, products, processes.
- Minimum 4 yrs experience heading / managing overall HR function with strong people management skills
- Understanding and knowledge of employment framework in Philippines, understanding of relevant laws, ability to interpret its impact and demonstrate a risk mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship management and communication and influencing skills.
- Strong technical depth across core HR disciplines: compensation, development, succession, DE&I, ER and labor law
- Experience of working in a complex, multicultural matrix organisation.
- Ability to operate independently and objectively to achieve the right people outcome for the franchise.
- Solutions oriented and have an innovative mindset
- Comfortable with presenting to management groups, with the ability to produce concise presentations, including necessary research and inquiry capabilities.
- Ability to partner and manage relationships with new and existing HR vendors and structure contractual agreements accordingly.
