Overview
Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) is looking for a dynamic professional who works well in a collegial environment to join our US Corporate Bank and US Treasury Business Line Operational Risk (BLOR) Team. In this role you will become immersed in Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Banking business and US Treasury operations. You will enhance your career prospects through the application of the knowledge you gain of the Corporate Bank and US Treasury operations to review the relevancy and applicability of existing and emerging Non-Financial Risks. Ultimately, you will coordinate and work with Risk Type Controllers and the Framework team assimilate this business information into managing and improving exiting controls.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director of the US Corporate Bank and US Treasury BLOR team, the Assistant Vice President will work with the Director and team members to ensure that the Corporate Bank lines of business and Treasury business partners continue to utilize the NFRM Framework to assess Non-Financial Risks
Develop an understanding of US Treasury operations and Corporate Bank lines of business in order to provide a deep understanding of their Non-Financial Risks (NFR)
Represent the US Corporate Bank and US Treasury NFRM team at Risk Fora to actively engage in risk governance and prepare quality materials
Facilitate and coordinate with First Line of Defence (1LOD) partners the Risk and Control Assessment process and other deliverables
Facilitate the event and Issue Management processes including Lessons Learned Reviews, Read-Across Reviews and Self-Identified issues/remediation
Work as part of the regional and global NFRM BLOR Team and interface with Risk Type Controllers within and external to NFRM
Skills You’ll Need
University degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics preferred
A critical thinker with strong active listening skills with the ability to ask questions when necessary
An interest in financial markets and risk management
Strong oral and written skills – should be able to distil topics into understandable summaries with clear conclusions and explanations of rationale. Including report writing. Be able to draft high quality reports
Presentation skills – candidates should be confident in presenting the outcomes of their work, often to senior management
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Moderate experience in a similar role or experiences within a global financial services firm
Communication skills – must be able to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely
The ability to develop strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 lines of defense model
The ability to work collaboratively and with senior stakeholders within a high pressure dynamic environment
Time management – the successful candidate will often need to deal with multiple priorities and should therefore be highly organized and be able to multi-task
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
