As a member of the Talent Development and Suitability function you will be part of a team that are DB‘s recognized experts providing impactful solutions for leadership, talent and skill development, and ensuring suitability of our leaders.
The Shared Services team, as part of the overall Talent Development and Suitability function, provides governance, operational processing and project management office capabilities on a global level.
A critical part of the Shared Services team is a centralized Vendor Governance and Management capability which delivers consultancy support to the Talent Development and Suitability function in relation to vendor onboarding, governance and process related activities.
Responsibilities
Functional manager for two other team members who are part of the Shared Services Vendor Support team. Providing day-to-day task management support, coaching and mentoring. Responsible for the DB Performance Management process.
Provide training and guidance as required on key vendor onboarding and vendor management activities to global Talent Development and Suitability team members.
Ensure that Global Procurement policies and process changes are being implemented across the global Talent Development and Suitability managed vendors to maintain our compliance.
Review policy and process changes and communicate with Talent Development and Suitability contract owners to support their understanding of the actions required to implement the changes
Maintain the central Talent Development and Suitability vendor preferred supplier list.
Perform control testing for Talent Development and Suitability vendors and support remediation action plans with the contract owner if a vendor is non-compliant with policy/process/controls.
Maintain key relationships with the Divisional Vendor Management Office, Procurement and HR Risk and Control teams on behalf of the Talent Development and Suitability function in relation to vendor onboarding and vendor management related activities.
Working collaboratively across the wider Talent Development and Suitability and HR function supporting the delivery of cross-team initiatives and sharing of knowledge and best practice.
Identifying and actively supporting the implementation of process improvements and/or operating efficiencies within the Shared Services team.
Strategic Project – scope, plan and drive a project to define and implement a vendor strategy across the Talent Development and Suitability to deliver benefits including operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
Skills
Vendor Governance and Management experience including working with external vendors, driving vendor processes, contracting and invoicing
Effective stakeholder management in a global or matrixed organisation
People management experience including coaching/mentoring
Process, governance and control mindset
Project Management Office (PMO) skills and experience (including project planning, risk, issue and dependency management)
Strong communication, team working and collaboration skills
Numeracy and analytical skills - comfortable working with large volumes of data
Pro-active, organised self-starter
Strong Excel skills and PowerPoint proficient
