Details of the Division and Team:

The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team is a critical segment of the Origination and Advisory (Corporate Finance) business within the Investment Bank.

Our Corporate Finance business provides the full range of products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments and government agencies.

The DCM team operates as part of a global platform and works closely with Australian based clients who look to raise capital for acquisitions, growth, refinancings, and other strategic priorities. In this role, you would be expected to work with senior DCM coverage bankers, industry coverage partners, and global syndicate teams to originate and execute capital markets products across a multitude of currencies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Participate in the origination and execution of debt capital markets deals across the major funding markets.

  • Deal team member contributing to day-to-day client coverage as well as assisting in the execution of transactions.

  • Prepare high quality marketing presentations

  • Due diligence of clients and markets

  • Deal documentation and internal approvals

  • Handling day to day client queries on all execution related matters

  • Attend client meetings including execution and pitches

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business, including other Investment Banking sector teams, global colleagues, and corporate bank to drive delivery of Deutsche Bank’s broad global platform

Your skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of debt capital market experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of financial markets and commercial acumen are critical

  • Detail oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask

  • Ability to take initiative with strong critical thinking skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
