Your responsibilities
Role Details
The Head of Procurement Operations is a global, senior leadership role within DWS Global Procurement, reporting directly into the Global Head of Procurement, and being a member of the Global Procurement Management Team.
Your key responsibilities:
- Responsible for enabling reliable, compliant, and efficient procurement operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, procurement and finance teams to enable and deliver efficient and effective procurement operations services within DWS globally across core Procurement Operations services: purchase order management, contract administration, helpdesk and user support
- Responsible for delivering the vision and strategy, focusing on achieving consistent operational excellence and user satisfaction through industrialisation, process optimization, and leveraging increased automation and the use of technology to ensure Service Delivery and Operations are fully aligned and integrated
- Responsible for leading the Procurement Operations team, providing oversight of operations globally, working closely with DWS Divisions, Finance, Tax and the rest of the DWS Global Procurement to ensure client satisfaction, achievement of business goals and close management of risk
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to deliver continuous improvement through implementation of best practices, for execution of transformation and transition projects and for managing service provision
- Responsible for stakeholder management and escalation handling
Furthermore, you will be responsible for service oversight, governance and management (including managing financials) of Procurement & Travel Operations services received from Deutsche Bank. These include vendor master management, invoice processing, helpdesk, and travel and expense services.
We are looking for:
- Senior professional with a proven track record of accountability for managing global procurement or finance operations
- Senior leader focused on process optimization, operational excellence and end user satisfaction
- Proven track record of overseeing and managing outsourced providers/vendors, including service delivery management and commercial and contract management
- Degree from an accredited university in a business administration or industrial engineering, or any related field
- Proven leadership experience (10+ years) in a procurement or finance operations function, preferably within the asset management, banking, or financial services industry.
- Thorough understanding of the source-to-pay end-to-end process.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills with hands-on experience in business process and operational management for procurement, source-to-pay, or purchase-to-pay.
- Ability to work independently with focus on results.
- Strong English communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex business concepts clearly to all seniority levels.
- Experienced in digital and data-driven environments, with an interest in utilizing advanced tools for process improvement.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office and SAP Ariba
