Job Title: Divisional Risk & Control Senior Analyst

Role Description

  • Divisional Control Office (DCO) team ensures that the division operates with high levels of integrity. It is responsible for supporting the business by developing, implementing and maintaining a risk culture to ensure a strong and sustainable business control environment whilst minimizing risk arising from non-financial risk factors. DCO strategy includes improving the risk management information and strengthening the governance and risk culture.
  • The CB DCO has functional responsibility for Audit and Regulatory governance, providing a central point of testing over the Control Assurance and Quality Control reviews . DCO delivers consistent portfolio reporting to senior management to enable their understanding of the risk profile and the impact of control and process deficiencies.
  • This includes supporting control owners to specify remedial action plans to sustainably address control gaps and a level of review to confirm original gaps are closed, with appropriate evidence that will be sustainable in the long term.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough quality reviews of finding validations specifically related to SII, second LOD & Group Audit (GA) observations
  • Lead continuous Quality Control testing across various business units within the Corporate Bank.
  • Perform and review design and operating effectiveness of key controls within Corporate Bank as per the approved plan
  • Identify potential process gaps and drive remediation efforts to strengthen controls and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, coordinating effectively with other team members and escalating issues proactively wherever necessary.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engage in complex technical discussions with senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain strong professional working relationships with colleagues, other business divisions, and relevant support functions.
  • On occasion, lead other testing projects related to controls, findings, thematic reviews, etc.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven 5-9 years of experience in an auditing function within the financial services industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Investment Bank (IB) or Corporate Bank (CB) audit teams, remediation activities, or dedicated Quality Assurance roles.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., Master's, Juris Doctor) and/or relevant professional certifications – Chartered Accountant (preferable)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading finding validations, ideally within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to clearly articulate control weaknesses and associated risks.
  • A flexible, proactive, and innovative attitude, coupled with exceptional organizational skills to meet objectives efficiently and within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on large projects involving multiple team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and clearly articulate complex issues and data to diverse audiences.
