Overview:

Corporate Bank (CB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporate and financial institutions worldwide.

Local Corporate Coverage (LCC) is the corporate coverage and product sales team within the Relationship and Transaction Management (RTM) unit under Corporate Bank covering Multinational Corporations at the subsidiary level across their transaction banking product needs.

As the Local Relationship Manager, you will be the first point of contact for the subsidiaries of our focus clients. You will liaise with the local Finance Director/CFO and treasurers and treasury team and become their trusted relationship manager, positioning Deutsche Bank as their preferred banking partner.

Not only is it expected of you that you maintain your client portfolio (Trade Finance, Corporate Cash Management, short term lending and FX), but more so to identify opportunities, structure complex solutions and execute these. In the event that the envisaged solutions are either very complex or cross border you will structure this together with our product partners primarily from Cash Management, Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange (FX).

In order to achieve this, it is critical that you engage with the Global Relationship Manager (and/or Regional Relationship Manager) and above all adhere to and comply with the Bank’s KYC & AML policies.

Your Key Responsibilities and expectations from the role:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective and continuous relations with the subsidiaries of international companies connected with the global portfolio of Deutsche Bank in its allocated portfolio in Turkey within the scope of Turkey's responsibility for relations
  • Cross product sales; Cash management, Trade Finance and Treasury
  • Identify key prospects in Türkiye and monetize these opportunities
  • While retaining existing revenues through close client relationships and frequent client calling activities are expected (visits/phone calls)
  • Ability to resolve on a timely basis all client problems/queries to ensure best-in-class customer service.
  • Connectivity with top global multinationals, new business development, analysis and enhancement of business processes
  • Ensuring in close cooperation with Global Relationship Management (GRM) that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for clients and that all avenues for working with our client across different geographies and products are explored.
  • Form and participate in Client Service Teams with product teams for key relationships to deliver tailor made solutions and providing follow up as required.
  • To coordinate with other Deutsche Bank colleagues from Corporate Coverage (CC) and Regional/Local Corporate Coverage to ensure clients receive seamless worldwide banking services.
  • To originate new transactions from both existing and new clients.
  • Establish and maintain ‘Know Your Client’ profiles and other required client information in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures
  • Assist team leaders to form viable business strategies, implementation plans, as well as prompt work process adjustments from time to time to adapt to changes in the market/regulatory environments.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University in Business Administration/ Finance/Economics/International Relations
  • 10+ years’ experience in corporate banking preferably at an international bank with multi-nationals clients relationship management/ sales experience
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Turkish, any other foreign language is a plus.
  • Good networking and social skills
  • Satisfactory knowledge of legislation and regulations with regards to Banking, market trends, have very good command of Legal, Compliance, Credit and Risk Management.
  • High understanding of trade finance, cash management and fx products
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving competence, able to work multitask with deadlines, hardworking, compatible for flexible hours, no obstacle to travel
  • Flexibility, versatility, perseverance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and deliver presentations to clients and internal
  • Credit skills and a satisfactory understanding of financial statements and preparation of successful business requests.
