Overview
The global Market Management Payments & Digital Currencies team is part of Corporate Cash Management within Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank division. The team is responsible for understanding market trends in payments, liquidity management and digital currencies and shaping the bank’s strategy in these areas – in particular focussing on cross-border payments and liquidity innovation and emerging forms of digital money.
This includes innovation of Swift, global payment infrastructures, DB internal processing systems as well as all four forms of digital money: Retail CBDC (in particular the digital Euro), wholesale CBDC, tokenised deposits and stablecoins.
By analysing market trends, client needs, and regulatory developments, the team ensures Deutsche Bank delivers competitive, future-ready solutions to corporate clients globally. Working closely with product, technology, and regional teams, the team acts as a key interface between the market and internal stakeholders to define strategic priorities, support and drive the development of new payment solutions and support business growth.

What You’ll Do .
- You drive the strategic positioning of Deutsche Bank’s payment and liquidity management solutions and digital currency initiatives within Corporate Cash Management.
- You analyse market trends, client requirements, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and shape product strategy within cross border payments and all four digital money forms.
- You collaborate with product, technology, and regional and global cash sales teams to define priorities and deliver innovative payment solutions for corporate clients that span across e.g., internal, 24/7 payment capabilities, tokenized deposit networks, Stablecoins, interbank settlement solutions, the use of faster payment systems and their interlinkages as well as new liquidity solutions based on new payment rails
- You engage with clients, industry bodies and internal stakeholders to understand market trends, influence market standards and represent Deutsche Bank in front of clients and in key forums.
- You operate as part of the global Market Management Payments & Digital Currencies team within the Corporate Bank, acting as a bridge between market insights and business execution and complement the cash and liquidity product as well as cash sales team on the ground in New York City.
How You’ll Lead
- You will interact with stakeholders in different parts of the organization: Product, Technology, Sales and Senior Management across corporate cash management, institutional cash management and treasury on the ground in NYC but also globally
Skills You’ll Need
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, banking, economics, engineering or computer science
- 5-7 years of practical experience in Payments, Cash- / Liquidity Management and/or Digital Currencies in banking or global fintechs
- Language Skills: English – fluent; German – nice to have
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Strong experience in: cross border payments, payments processing, digital money forms, Agile product management, Blockchain technology
- Soft skills: Strong interest in payments innovation and payments processing, teamwork, stakeholder management skills, presentation skills – both working in power point and presenting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong experience in engagement with clients, regulators, market stakeholders and senior management
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $140,000 to $217,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
