Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

The Private Bank Divisional Data Office is driving forward Data Management for Private Bank Division. In close collaboration between business and IT we assure compliance with Deutsche Bank Group Data Management Policy by assigning data roles, managing the documentation of data flows, casting data requirements into enterprise data models, optimize data quality across the division, and coordinating Private Banks data delivery.

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who has the drive and the ability to understand the business processes and technical side within the bank, who understands the requirements defined by regulatory compliance and top management and drive complex challenges into structured solutions.

The Senior Data Analyst has in depth understanding of how data and data flows between various systems impacts end-to-end processes across the bank, ideally in the retail sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Private Bank Division compliance with Group Data Management Policy by monitoring, tracking, investigating and resolution of Operational Meta Data Exceptions.
  • Support Private Bank Division compliance with Group Data Management Policy by maintenance of: Private Bank Data Quality controls inventory, Data Lineage documentation, Data Roles assignment.
  • Drive the evolution of the Private Bank Data Landscape report, ensuring it comprehensively covers data flows originating from Private Bank applications to consumer divisions, clearly defines data flow management responsibilities, and incorporates metrics to assess adherence to Data Standards.
  • Validate data included in Data Landscape together with data producers and ensure data accuracy and data completeness; make sure errors are detected and signalled in a timely manner.
  • Cooperate with Group Chief Data Office team to ensure accurate reporting of Private Bank Data Landscape metrics.
  • Support regulatory compliance regarding Data Management in Private Bank (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239)

Skills

  • Minimum of 3 + years of experience in Data Management and/or business process analysis
  • Excellent understanding of bank IT and banks’ business processes
  • Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders’ needs and requirements
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix-ed organizations
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrable ability to communicate with customers, users, internal and external management at all levels of the business
  • Fluent in English (written/verbal)
  • Data Management certification such as DAMA will be beneficial.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Microsoft Access / SQL Programming
    • Experience in Power Query, Tableau and similar tools will be beneficial
    • Ability to understand systems architecture
