Role Description

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software components in accordance with the business requirements in the department of digital sales. You will have exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle, taking responsibility for delivering complex features end-to-end with a high degree of quality as an active engineer in our agile team setup. You will contribute your skills to overall design and architecture decisions, with a strong focus on both functional and non-functional requirements. Additionally, you will engage with our engineering practice in terms of software engineering best practices, testing methodologies, and other quality initiatives, working within a global distributed team to achieve collective success.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop software components according to business requirements within the digital sales department.
• Take responsibility in delivering complex features end-to-end with high quality as an active engineer in our agile team setup.

Your skills and experience

Experience

• Several years of relevant industry experience in software design & development of business requirements.
• Fluent in developing RESTful APIs, either in Java (with Spring Boot and Spring Security) or Node.js (with Express and Typescript).
• Solid experience building containerized services such as Kubernetes or cloud-native services.
• Previous experience working with relational- and NoSQL databases, build tools like Maven, Webpack, and testing frameworks for unit- and integration testing.
• Comfortable working with OpenAPI specifications, Postman workspaces, and OAuth2 flows.

Education / Certification

• A degree in computer science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

Soft Skills Communication

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
