Role Description

As a Requirements Engineer, your key objective is to bridge the gap between the client’s needs and the technical delivery team to help successfully deliver projects. You will be heavily involved at all stages of the software delivery lifecycle, from initial scoping and planning exercises through to detailed analysis and collaboration with the IT team to deliver working software. The role requires an enthusiastic, pragmatic self-starter who can solve problems by delivering quality and cost-effective solutions through excellent business analysis techniques and functional domain knowledge.

Your key responsibilities

  • Bridge the gap between client needs and the technical delivery team to ensure project success.
  • Engage in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle, from initial scoping and planning to detailed analysis.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to deliver working software.
  • Solve problems by delivering quality, cost-effective solutions using excellent business analysis techniques.
  • Create and detail User Stories, concepts, and specifications for agile delivery teams.

Your skills and experience

Experience

  • Broad experience in requirements engineering for large-scale IT solutions as part of scrum teams, working directly with engineers.
  • Previous experience working as a Product Owner in agile teams is required; experience in scaled agile environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Retail Banking IT, especially the core domain of Frontends & Channels and Cloud Knowhow.

Education / Certification

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Soft Skills Communication

  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • German at B1 level or higher is a plus.

Drive and Motivation

  • Strong independence and initiative.
  • A passion for constantly learning in a constantly evolving web environment.
  • Ability to work in agile delivery teams.
