DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

The Production Stability Lead is a member of Technology Operations and Production team that performs the People management activities for the assigned reports, besides steering the production release activities for software applications and works closely with the Development, solution architecture and QA practices to ensure code and design integrity of the fixes (hot fixes, patches). (S)he is a pioneer in following internal DB Best Practices and Governance procedures and working closely with CTB & RTB colleagues to ensure a good level of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the legal manager of a team of Production Support engineer professionals’ part of the division TDI Private Bank, in Bucharest;
  • Be responsible of the development of the members of this chapter area;
  • Be part of the global Production Stability organization and is responsible to align the local organization to the global profession practices and strategies;
  • Establish and promote healthy culture aligned to DB code of conduct and values within the team, leading by example;
  • Assume the Customer Service Manager (CSM) or CSM-1 roles for the application in team’s responsibility;
  • Bring experience to actively help to identify and fix bugs and increase monitoring and alerting automation of the services to maintain for all applications in the portfolio;
  • Follow the standard bank’s HR processes, conduct periodic 1:1 and team meetings in order to identify and address needs and risks which could lead to poor performance and attrition;
  • Augment potential of the team members through guidance and coaching plus establishing L&D plans of growth for each team member;
  • Align and combine bank’s strategic directions, product needs as well as learning directions that people look for in their career development by setting clear objectives touching all these 3 vectors;
  • Assume sponsorship for the Support CWRs under the covered projects and work together with the vendor representatives to keep administrative topics up to date;
  • Conduct all administrative activities for the internal direct reports
  • Assure good communication within the team and with the outside entities and mediate any issues;
  • Represent the team in the different forums, participate in chapter and people management activities within Private Bank and Bucharest Tech Center;
  • Contribute to OKRs & KPIs definition in order to keep performance and identify trends while monitoring/measuring and keeping production stability at established SLOs;
  • Coordinate with the team the planning of releases/DR exercises/application maintenance activities over weekends, when needed;
  • Support and contribute to all relevant documentation following DB internal Standards, Procedures and Guidelines;
  • Help with the integration of new features/regions to the DB support model. This includes managing and rolling out plans of team augmentation up to assuring homogenous knowledge within the team;\

Skills:

  • Previous people management and production support experience, with can do mind-set, attitude and hands-on approach, ability to analyse business requirements, defects and propose hot fixes;
  • Ability to work effectively with senior IT and Business stakeholders;
  • Exposure to multiple global locations with various cultures and practices;
  • Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes
  • Good knowledge of Oracle database, LINUX/UNIX, shell scripting, GCP environment;
  • Network connectivity troubleshooting;
  • Previous experience with Control M, Tomcat / WebLogic/ Apache/ Fabric highly valued;
  • Proficient communication and English language skills (written/verbal), ability to work effectively with senior IT and Business stakeholders;
  • Have a strong understanding of ITIL & SDLC;
  • Ability to work and take decision on tight schedule and with incomplete information;
  • Ability to analyse business requirements, defects and propose minor & major releases;
