The Vice President – Audit, Risk & Control Governance plays a critical leadership role in strengthening the control environment, managing audit and regulatory commitments, and ensuring operational risk excellence across the CIO portfolio.

Your key responsibilities
Audit Management & Findings Governance
- Serve as senior member of the Embedded Risk Team (ERT) for full lifecycle management of Internal Audit findings, Regulatory findings, and Self‑Identified Issues.
- Oversee status reviews, remediation documentation, and evidence validation.
- Drive high‑quality closure packs aligned to DB’s documentation framework.
- Engage senior stakeholders and Risk Type Controllers for escalation and oversight.
- Guide finding owners on GFMS mapping, Risk Acceptance processes, Target Date Extension and Risk Acceptance renewals.
- Collaborate with Ernst & Young and support IT Application Owner (ITAO) with evidence preparation.
- Lead governance forums including ERT, Audit Review Forum, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Monthly Risk & Control discussion, and internal meetings.
- Monitor and drive remediation of high‑risk ratings and control weaknesses.
- Support improvements in open due and overdue control items, e.g.JAVA patching compliance, SDLC automation, vulnerability remediation.
Sarbanes‑Oxley Act (SOX) Support
- Contribute to BIS SOX governance by reviewing application‑level items and partnering with ITAOs.
- Coordinate with Technical Information Security Officer (TISO), Information Security Risk Assessor (ISRA), and governance partners on SOX‑related remediation.
Risk & Control (R&C) Management
- Lead Control Workbench (CWB) dashboarding and overdue item governance.
- Partner with IT Application Owners on risk remediation.
- Oversee software asset reviews, impairment governance, and approval workflows.
- Act as Business Continuity Coordinator, managing BCM documentation, lifecycle activities, and compliance.
CIO Office & Leadership Support
- Provide strategic and operational support to CIO leadership.
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional initiatives within the CIO remit.
People & Administrative Responsibilities
- Oversee onboarding, buddy program governance, and new‑joiner communication.
- Support early‑career hiring processes including interns and apprentices.
- Govern people‑related processes such as transfers and job‑family alignment.
- Prepare materials for Workers’ Council reviews.
- Manage First Aid and safety responsibilities, e.g. fire assistance.
- Coordinate IT equipment and facilities requests.
- Oversee procurement of office supplies and administrative needs.
- Own dbList governance and access recertification for structured/unstructured data.
- Share operational updates and support End User Services processes.
