Details of the Division and Team:
You will be joining a team of experienced lawyers supporting the Bank’s Investment Banking and Capital Markets division within the Investment Bank, with a focus on debt capital markets, equity capital markets, M&A, as well as general commercial contract negotiation, covering clients in APAC. The role will involve cross-border transaction management, general advisory work, risk management and policy and internal controls development. The team is actively involved in and contributes the development of industry-wide initiatives in the capital markets.

Your key responsibilities:
To provide legal advice and transactional support on corporate and commercial matters, including capital markets transactions, M&A and general commercial contracts
To identify, control and manage legal and reputational risks
To engage and collaborate with global legal counterparts within the IBCM division and share legal know-how
To stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business you support
To engage and manage the relationship with external counsels
To control legal cost of the Bank
Your skills and experience:
Qualified English, HK or US lawyer with 4-5 year PQE
Fluent in English; Mandarin would be an advantage (not mandatory)
Good knowledge of capital markets transactions
Team player with good inter-personal skills
