The intern, in the Lending (Execution) team, will be instrumental in supporting the Lending franchise on a global level. Lending Officers within the Lending Execution team in Luxembourg do execute and administrate new lending transactions and support Sales Lending Officers from various locations globally with regards to transactions booked in WM Luxembourg. Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. is the main European Lending Hub within Deutsche Bank. Achieving overall growth and revenues targets, whilst maintaining excellent credit quality is of key importance.

The intern in the Lending (Execution) team supports the Lending Officers in the Lending (Execution) team, as well as Sales Lending Officers / WM Relationship Managers in all their credit-related needs with respect to the full range of lending product offering (special focus on French, Spanish & UK Commercial / Residential Real Estate Financing, Single Stock Financing, Lombard Financing, Aircraft Financing, Life Insurance Financing, as well as Subscription Financing).

Luxembourg, 4-6 months, starting on 1st or 15th April 2026

Tasks

  • Support Lending Officers in the execution and portfolio management team to conclude and implement on structures of credit transactions that in the end make it acceptable from both commercial and risk standpoints
  • Ensure credit-approved transactions will be documented in accordance with regulatory, legal and operational requirements (overall organization and coordination of processes with internal and external stakeholders; including cooperation with legal departments)
  • Administrate alongside the portfolio management team approved deals throughout transaction life cycle (i.e. support to perform annual review of credit transactions; manage and administrate credit book in terms of ongoing conditions/tasks; coordinate with Sales Lending Officers / WM Relationship Managers as well as with Risk Management and Legal to manage conditions and deliver them in a timely manner)
  • Besides these direct transaction-related tasks, the Lending Officer within execution and portfolio management team also supports and takes ownership in enhancing local processes as well as occasionally participate in (global) Lending projects

Skills

  • You are a Business, Economics, Finance Student or Graduate (Bachelor, Master, or Gap Year)
  • You have a strong interest in financial services; in particular in wealth management
  • You have good analytical, communication, administrative and structural skills as well as good interpersonal skills
  • You work in a solution-focused manner with a high degree of attention to detail
  • You are fluent in English (French and Italian language capabilities would be beneficial in addition)
  • You have the ability to adapt to new situations, to acquire knowledge and put it into practice

The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.
