The Trade Finance & International Lending (TFIL) team, within DB Corporate Bank in Milan, supports Italian Corporate Clients within cross-border business as well as domestic trade finance and lending activities.
TFIL offers products and solutions for every stage of a client’s trade value chain such as Letter of Credits, Bank Guarantees and Supply Chain Finance products with the aim to optimize the working capital structure.
The intern will have the possibility to assist the team and be trained on the plain vanilla Trade Finance products (e.g. Commercial Trade-related guarantees, Import and Export Letter of credit) as well as being involved in more structured and tailored made solutions (e.g. Supply Chain Finance, Account Receivable Discounting).
She/He will have the chance to continuously liaise with other bank divisions (such as Financial Institutions Sales, Corporate Coverage, Reputational Risk team, IPB Trade Specialists, …) and get introduced in how to deal with corporate clients.
The diversified client portfolio and the number of solutions provided will give the chance to widen the learning curve day by day.
The candidate will be involved in the following activities:
- Assist the team within daily business, origination, and deal executions.
- Support the team within the approval process of each eligible transaction.
- Acquire more autonomy on plain vanilla product management such as Export Letter of Credits and Guarantees.
- Prepare reports on business activities and team revenues.
- Learn about relevant bank Policies and Process and operating in compliance with them.
Skills
- Bachelor’s in economics, near completion of a master’s in economics.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm-driven person.
- Ability to learning quickly and be able to find solutions.
- Ability to contribute to the success of the team.
- Strong communication and commercial skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tool.
