Lead Business Functional Analyst

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

In the Private Bank Business Transformation department, we support the (digital) transformation along the entire value chain for the Private Bank. Together with our partners in Private Bank, we operationalize the (digital) transformation portfolio, aligned with our strategic goals, customer needs, and budgets. In doing so, we continuously improve customer experience and create the foundation for successful digitalization and transformation.

We are searching for an experienced and visionary leader passionate about driving large-scale transformation through insightful business analysis, innovative solutions, and exceptional people leadership. Our dynamic team, operating within a critical business area, is seeking a talented individual to analyze business requirements, design and implement cutting-edge solutions that bridge business strategy with technological execution. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business solution design in complex project environments (e.g. transformational programs). Identifying the full range of business requirements and translating requirements into specific functional specifications for solution development and implementation.
  • Analyze and document business requirements within own area of responsibility in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and identify improvement opportunities, develop proposals aligned with business.
  • Design innovative and practical solutions that leverage technology, process re-engineering, and organizational change to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, influencing the definition of strategic objectives, shaping long-term transformation roadmaps, and meticulously crafting compelling business cases for critical products/change initiatives. Drive the creation, maintenance, and strategic reporting for the overall initiative. Act as a contact person between business and CIO area for the own scope, coordinate alignments, and ensure traceability of requirements.
  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Tests for own scope, document results, and support system rollouts through hyper care and feedback collection.
  • Drive strategic talent development, mentoring, and succession planning for key roles within the transformation function.
  • Act as a role model and subject matter expert, inspiring and guiding colleagues towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Directly manage a team of professionals, including performance management, coaching, and career development to foster a high-performing and engaged team.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile) preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of extensive and proven experience in leading business analysis, process improvement, complex change management, or senior consulting roles within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and extensive experience in spearheading and delivering multiple large-scale, complex business transformation programs or portfolios, with a clear track record of significant, measurable business impact.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, services, and regulatory environments (e.g., KYC, AML, MiFID II, Basel III).
  • Experience working across divisions and infrastructure functions, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to represent resilience topics at executive and board-level forums.
  • People management: performance management, career development, training plans for team members.
  • Business-fluent English (written and spoken). Business-fluent German (written and spoken) is a plus.
