Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead with Trade Processing experience to join our team. You will be joining a critical function within DWS’s Trade Processing Group (TPG), which is an integral part of DWS Operations. The TPG team is deeply committed to operational transparency, control, and excellence, supporting the full lifecycle of trade processing across different asset classes. It is a global team of approximately 140 professionals. The team supports APAC, EMEA, and US regions, enabling a robust “follow-the-sun” model that ensures seamless coverage and continuity across time zones.
• The TPG team works in close partnership with front-office stakeholders, including traders and Portfolio managers, to align operational processes with strategic investment goals. You will play a key role in driving innovation, leveraging automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual touchpoints.
• Equally important is the team’s focus on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. You will be expected to uphold and evolve a strong control environment, proactively identifying and addressing operational risks, and ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards.

Your key responsibilities

Operations Management

• Design, implement, and optimize trade processing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure timely matching, timely settlement and reconciliation of trades.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and other departments to resolve operational issues and support system enhancements/issues.

People Management

• Lead, coach, and develop the team to build a strong team with expertise in the area.
• Set performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and provide feedback and guidance.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
• Ensure adequate training and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Manage resource allocation and support recruitment and onboarding processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a Senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding trade processing queries and escalations.

Risk & Control

• Implement and maintain robust controls to mitigate operational risks.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• Experience in trade processing, operations, or financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant technology platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID, EMIR) is an advantage.
