Job Title: Business and Functional Analyst (BFA) for Audit confirmations, Commercial Banking, AVP
Location: Pune, India
Role Description
- Ensure transition of Audit confirmations application support from Berlin to India by providing strong functional oversight during and after transition and preserve of critical domain knowledge accumulated over multiple years.
- BFA will play a crucial role in understand the application functionality, participate in structured Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions, document business flows, validations, and exception logic, understand functional mapping across multiple modules, ensure requirements completeness for handover to India.
- BFA to act as the primary functional SME for all five Audit Confirmation components, Support L3 engineers with functional clarifications, Analyse and validate incidents & root-cause scenarios, as BFA and risk champion work closely with Ops, ERTs, and risk teams, Support SIIs, audit requests, and regulatory obligations.
- Support lead in providing Business analysis, business requirements gathering and business requirement documentation for Audit confirmations process and produce documentation
- You will focus on deciphering and finalizing Business and Functional Requirements from the Market requirements documentation and acts as the interface between Business and solution providers for all aspects of agreed requirements / solutions.
- This involves Change the Bank projects for India Branch Technology approved book of work – which will include regulatory changes, transformational programs or essential maintenance.

Your key responsibilities
- Prepare the Business Requirements document, working closely with the Cluster Head and Technology Agile Team and the relevant BPMs. Ability to analyze the Market Requirement Document along with the BPMs and Demand manager.
- Prepare/Review Solution / Functional requirement specifications, working closely with Delivery manager, Application Owners / Solution Architects in solution requirement & solution maintenance areas.
- Communicate the proposed requirement specifications with all stakeholders including interface partners & Production Support to deliver the requirements effectively till the implementation phase within the agreed timeliness & cost. Support testing on behalf users, operations and testing teams including reviewing test plan, test cases and test scenarios and when required support testing with interface partners.
- Working alongside CTB project deliveries including the appointed vendor, to ensure a smooth transition into BAU support model after project go-Lives.
- Write and Review Test Cases for functional and non-functional testing
- Working closely with developers to resolve functional issues from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in formulating solutions to various functional / technical production issues.
- Support Application management area (Application Owner and L3 team) for functional area trouble shooting and resolution to reported bugs on the application.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders (interface partners, Production Support, Operations etc) to ensure the changes are verified after deployment in production.
- Quality check of requirement specifications, high/low level design, test plan e.g. test cases & test scenarios and source code review performed by offshore delivery team
- Good understanding of working on the audit findings and Self-Identified Issues (SII)
- Undertake SRO/ SRO Delegate role as needed for the India Branch Applications and support the IRQ Assessments etc.
- Develop traceability matrices to track requirements & functional documentation through to test case development.
- Run governance to drive requirement finalization etc and effectively manage stakeholders to sign-off requirements
- Ability to prioritise effectively and escalate appropriately.
- Define Test Plans and work with the Business Subject Matter Experts to produce test cases to complete User Acceptance Testing.
- Produce User Training material and execute User Training as part of implementation/roll out phases
- Coordinate UAT across multiple Business lines and multiple locations to ensure UAT script execution.
- Liaise with the Development Team for defect tracking and resolution.
- Define, measure and report on Quality Assurance of project deliverables.
Your skills and experience
Experience Required
- Experience (10+years) as a Business Analyst working in Commercial and Corporate Banking space.
- Experience working on Change the Bank/Re-engineering/ Transition Projects within the Commercial / Corporate Banking arena involving organisational/workflow change. project especially working experience in Leading business and functional requirement and Design Proposals detailing the solution into functional System Requirement Specifications.
- Proven track record in delivery of functional & technical solution / requirements
- Understanding of system Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Good Understanding of Agile project delivery methodologies, JIRA, Confluence
- Ability to work in a virtual team and demonstrate integrity in all work executed.
Experience Preferable
- Knowledge of Audit Confirmations, commercial banking Process
- Experience in large scale data migration projects/Business Analysis/testing
Qualifications
- Graduate degree from accredited college or university with a concentration in computer science, or Business, Finance (or equivalent computer diploma and/ or relevant work experience)
- Advanced MS office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must demonstrate knowledge of at least 1 system used to document business process (e.g. MS Visio, Business Process Modelling Notation BPMN). Candidate must be fluent in English Language (written and spoken).
