Details of the Division and Team:
The FX Advisor is a primary point of contact for clients to access the entire suite of investment capabilities, insights and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management for their Foreign Exchange requirements. This is achieved by working in close partnership with the Relationship Manager in the day-to-day planning and servicing for the client.
The individual leverages the insight and expertise of the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Chief Investment Office and the global and regional investment committees to provide advice around long-term thematic investment opportunities and short-term tactical trades. The FX Advisor concentrates solely on the Foreign Exchange portion of the client’s portfolio, to address the clients’ needs whether they are for hedging or speculative reasons. The FX Advisor will have accountability for revenue and contribution towards business goals.

Your key responsibilities:
- Client Advisory: Provide personalized advice to high-net-worth clients on FX strategies, including hedging, currency diversification, and risk management, tailored to their financial goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate currency-related risks for clients, advising on appropriate hedging instruments and strategies.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global currency markets, economic trends, and geopolitical events to deliver timely and actionable insights to clients.
- Transaction Execution: Facilitate and execute FX transactions, including spot, forward, and derivatives contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Portfolio Optimization: Collaborate with relationship managers/ investment advisors to integrate FX strategies into clients’ broader investment plans.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all FX activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
- Education: Prepare presentations on FX markets and strategies, enhancing the broader banking teams' and clients’ understanding of currency-related opportunities.
Your skills and experience:
- Superior investment acumen with a strong understanding of various asset classes
- Superior analytical skills as well as being detail-oriented on both strategy and execution.
- At least 8-10 years of relevant product experience
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills
- Professional integrity
- Self-starter and ability to work with teams across different locations
- Willing and able to develop other staff, e.g., analysts
- CFA, MBA degree in Finance or other advanced degree
