Role Description

  • The Client Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) function is a core Front Office control unit responsible for the end‑to‑end client lifecycle across onboarding, periodic reviews, event‑driven reviews, and ongoing KYC/AML governance.
  • The Vice President, CLM (Mumbai) is a senior execution and service leadership role responsible for leading the Mumbai-based Client Lifecycle Management teams and delivering high-quality, timely, and consistent client lifecycle outcomes in support of Private Bank CLM Leads in Hong Kong, Dubai, and Singapore.
  • The role acts as a regional CLM delivery hub lead, accountable for execution quality, capacity management, and service delivery across onboarding, periodic reviews, event-driven reviews, and remediation activities. The role complements in-market CLM Heads, enabling them to focus on risk ownership, regulatory engagement, and senior stakeholder management.
  • The role partners closely with Relationship Managers, Market Heads, Compliance, Legal, Anti‑Financial Crime (AFC), Operations, Technology, and regional booking centres to ensure consistent standards, strong governance, and continuous improvement of the CLM operating model.
  • In addition, the role supports drives large‑scale initiatives including SoW uplift and remediation programmes, operating model transformation, and digitisation of CLM processes across the region.

Position in the Operating Model

  • Acts as the primary CLM delivery counterpart to CLM Leads in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai
  • Leads and manages Mumbai-based CLM execution teams
  • Serves as the single service interface between regional CLM Heads and offshore execution teams
  • Partners closely with AFC, Operations, Technology, and Change teams

Your key responsibilities

CLM Delivery Leadership

  • Lead Mumbai-based CLM teams supporting onboarding, periodic reviews, EDRs, and remediation
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution aligned to AML/KYC and SoW standards
  • Own delivery SLAs, ageing, prioritisation, and throughput
  • Drive first-time-right outcomes and reduce rework
  • Service Partnership to Regional CLM Leads
  • Act as a trusted service partner to CLM Leads in SG, HK, and Dubai
  • Translate regional priorities into clear execution plans
  • Support complex cases through structured preparation

Quality, Risk & Control Discipline

  • Embed quality assurance across all lifecycle activities
  • Act as first execution-level escalation point
  • Support audit readiness and issue remediation

Capacity & People Leadership

  • Own workforce planning and capacity management
  • Drive a high-accountability delivery culture
  • Build SME depth within Mumbai teams

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive process simplification and standardisation
  • Partner on CLM tooling and digitisation initiatives

Your skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in Client Lifecycle Management, KYC, AML, SoW, and regulatory risk management within Banking or Wealth Management.
  • Proven experience operating as a Front Office control leader with accountability for risk outcomes and control effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience managing regional teams and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of Asia markets, Middle East connectivity, and External Asset Manager (EAM) business models and risks.
  • Proven track record leading large‑scale remediation, uplift, or transformation programmes.
  • Deep knowledge of account documentation, complex client structures, and cross‑border regulatory requirements.
  • Strong process design, operational risk, and project management capability.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.
  • High degree of ownership, resilience, and ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, MI, and technology to drive outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in English.
