The Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing client and fund assets across multiple asset classes in line with established investment policies and governance frameworks. Working closely with the Lead Portfolio Manager, they shape and execute investment strategy, make asset allocation decisions, and oversee portfolio trading to meet client objectives while balancing risk and performance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bespoke multi-asset or fixed income discretionary mandates, in various base currencies (mainly EUR, CHF and USD), benchmarked or non-benchmarked.

  • Generate trade rationales, maintain databases, present positioning and performance to clients.

  • Participate in the development of regional tactical views through the European Multi-Asset and Fixed Income teams.

  • Support other DPM teams (in other EMEA locations) on fixed income security selection. Provide inputs for the elaboration of the mandates, tactical implementation and instrument selection (single or collective instruments selection and monitoring), active and passive in traditional asset classes.

  • Grow assets under management through internal clients servicing.

  • Support pre-sales and after-sales communication to both internal and external clients, strategy sales support as well as pitching documents.

  • Prepare and present performance analysis (contribution / attribution).

Skills

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience (portfolio manager exposed to a mix of fixed income and multi-asset class mandates), preferably in a private wealth management environment, facing U/HNWIs.

  • Experience in issuer selection, in a Swiss, European or global dimension

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics; CFA / CAIA or MBA a plus

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills

  • Affinity to all asset classes with asset allocation expertise; ability and willingness to make decisions and take responsibility

  • Excellent English skills, German knowledge a plus, written and spoken

  • Familiarity with portfolio management tools a plus (Avaloq, Bloomberg tools)

  • Strong work ethic, commitment to deadlines and strong attention to details

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg

  • Good communication skills with strong desire to develop interactions with other parts of the bank such as asset management

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
