Overview

As an AVP within the Accounting Close technology team, you will support and enhance SAP BW and BW4HANA platforms used for financial and regulatory reporting during close cycles. You will work closely with finance, accounting, and technology partners to ensure data accuracy, timely processing, and platform stability. This role is techno‑functional, combining strong SAP BW expertise with hands‑on support, monitoring, and issue resolution in a controlled environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support SAP BW and BW4HANA platforms used for Accounting Close and reporting processes

• Work across SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments (1809 and above)

• Support and troubleshoot BW reporting, data models, and extractors supporting finance use cases

• Monitor jobs, data loads, and reporting processes to ensure close timelines are met

• Perform incident, problem, and change activities in line with ITIL and incident management practices

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve data, reporting, and integration issues

Skills You’ll Need

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BW and BW4HANA platforms

• Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments

• Working knowledge of SAP Analysis for Office (AO) and Web Intelligence (WebI)

• Basic ABAP debugging skills to support issue analysis and resolution

• Understanding of ITIL and incident management practices

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• SAP BW or BW4HANA certification

• Exposure to SAP FICO concepts and finance data flows, with the ability to interpret financial postings for BW reporting

• Experience supporting financial or regulatory reporting use cases

• Strong understanding of job scheduling and monitoring processes

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $132,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
