Branch Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity and quality of time-sensitive operational processes, safeguarding client service, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. The team is a key operational backbone, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure end-to-end process integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate execution of daily Branch Operations activities in line with internal procedures and standards; contribute to operational continuity, control effectiveness, and continuous process improvement
  • Perform Cheque Desk processing activities, ensuring adherence to strict cut-off times and client instructions
  • Capture and process invoices in accordance with applicable operational and regulatory requirements
  • Handle daily operational processes using Minerva and Loomis tools
  • Perform daily Returned Mail Controls and follow-ups
  • Issue audit letters in line with internal governance standards
  • Execute Back Office processing for FX and IRS transactions, including associated controls and reconciliations
  • Perform reconciliation activities (Nostro, internal, and inter-system) and investigate/balance breaks to closure
  • Support regulatory and risk-related operational activities, including Regulatory Reporting support, High Risk Media monitoring checks, and Oversight & Control tasks
  • Support Trade Finance activities for the Berlin hub to enable timely dispatch and audit-ready documentation, including:
  • Collecting DB PT representatives’ signatures and coordinating notarization
  • Scanning and archiving documentation
  • Maintaining physical and electronic archives and vault records
  • Coordinating courier delivery of documentation (e.g. invoices, guarantees, Letters of Credit)
  • Maintaining the Trade Finance contracts database
  • Escalate operational, regulatory, and other risks in a timely manner to the line manager and functional leads, as appropriate
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with Front Office, internal functions, and external parties to support smooth operational delivery

Skills:

  • 3–5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in Branch Operations, Cash Operations, or Back Office functions
  • Proven experience in time-critical operational processing and execution of key checks
  • Good understanding of operational risk, regulatory requirements, and escalation practices
  • Experience performing operational controls and reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume operational environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team footprint and in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for operational outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fully conversant in English, including written communication
  • University graduate (or equivalent)
