Join Deutsche Bank Corporate Coverage team in Brussels for a 6 months internship starting in July 2026. As part of the team, you will work on delivering and originating profitable deal opportunities for the bank with the BeLux client base, hand in hand with Product Specialists, both at the head office level and with our clients’ subsidiaries across the 34 countries where Deutsche Bank is present.
Business opportunities span over the whole treasury spectrum, including lending, debt capital markets financing, FX, trade finance, cash management. Deutsche Bank’s BeLux client base entails investment grade as well as non-investment grade clients, focusing on large multinational caps as well as smaller, privately-owned companies.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Corporate Coverage Relationship Managers for BeLux Corporate clients and prospects;
- Assist Corporate Coverage Senior Bankers in business origination across Deutsche Bank’s solutions;
- Coordinate the contribution of different partners (Corporate Finance, DCM, Transaction Banking, Derivatives);
- Daily interactions and support of our Deutsche Bank Local Corporate Coverage Bankers internationally for the origination effort and implementation of transactions;
- Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for clients’ situations;
- Support with credit approval requests centrally and in-country, in the name of product sales teams;
- Assist with establishing and maintaining Know Your Client profiles and other required client information in accordance with Deutsche Bank’s policies and procedures;
- Maintain regular and frequent dialogue with product partners across Deutsche Bank's global network to deliver against the client agenda;
- Produce best in class presentations to support Deutsche Bank's marketing effort and client pitches.
Skills
- You are completing a bachelor’s or master's degree (in finance or economics) and are looking for an internship as part of your studies.
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- You have a strong interest for the financial industry, basic understanding of accounting and corporate finance.
- You have strong analytical skills, you quickly assimilate new information and can pro-actively relate them to the needs of the client base.
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and are an effective and concise communicator at all levels (both verbal and written).
- You are customer-oriented, reactive and dynamic.
- You are professional, team player and work with integrity.
- You are interested to work in diverse global client teams.
- You are proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship. The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record and an internship agreement.
