Details of the Division and Team:

Regulatory Control is responsible for establishing and maintaining control frameworks designed to manage regulatory, monitoring, surveillance, employee compliance, transaction monitoring and client screening.

Work includes:

  • Implementing the global or regional strategy to establish and maintain the control frameworks designed to manage regulatory, monitoring, surveillance, employee compliance, transaction monitoring and client screening

  • Ensuring operational discipline combined with regulatory risk awareness & investigative skills and warrants that workflows are governed by established policies, clearly defined processes, and escalation points

  • Controls, Testing & Assurance (CT&A), which tests effectiveness of Key Controls and Risk Management Frameworks related to Compliance and Financial Crime Risk Types

  • Providing Quality Assurance (QA)/Monitoring for certain financial crime risk related processes

Your key responsibilities:

  • Help deliver the Global FX Book of Work as an FX SME by contributing to the design, development and rollout of FX models and advocating for APAC region enhancements when needed.

  • Drive FX BAU in APAC by providing training and guiding analysts to identify risks and produce meaningful FX escalations while meeting SLAs.

  • Engage with external Regulators and Auditors across APAC for FX related matters.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders in IT, Compliance and Front Office for FX Surveillance related matters.

  • Support Global Audit and Regulatory reviews with timely and accurate information and analysis.

  • Support Global Enterprise Data Management priorities and provide APAC specific data expertise and solutions when needed.

  • Develop a knowledgeable and resilient talent pipeline for APAC FX alert reviews.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Trade surveillance, with a focus on Foreign Exchange procedures.

  • Possess good understanding and application of the rules related to Market Abuse and Market Manipulation and how it pertains to trade surveillance controls.

  • Prior experience working in global markets trade surveillance.

  • Previous relevant roles in either in Compliance Surveillance, Trading, or other market related function.

  • An understanding of trade flow from order to execution and an understanding of the technology utilised for these flows.

  • An ability to work independently and drive projects in a timely manner.

  • Experience in supervisory and hands on role from training junior staff to direct involvement in BAU.

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate an opinion.

  • Experience in using Macro.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
