Role Description

  • Vice President is responsible for leading the engineering, modernization, upgrade strategy, and operational stability of the bank’s enterprise document management platforms, with a strong focus on FileNet and related content management ecosystems. The role carries accountability for platform architecture, lifecycle management, resilience, governance, and production support across critical document services.
  • You’ll be a highly experienced technology leader with 15+ years of experience, bringing deep expertise in enterprise content management platforms, especially IBM FileNet and/or IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD). You will combine strong platform engineering knowledge with hands-on experience in upgrade planning, platform maintenance, release management, performance optimization, and production support. You’ll be expected to shape technical strategy, drive platform reliability, lead modernization initiatives, and provide senior technical leadership across architecture, engineering governance, and operational execution. In addition, you’ll mentor engineering teams, influence key stakeholders, and act as a trusted leader for critical platform transformation and stability initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery of scalable document management platforms, microservices, and full-stack solutions, ensuring strong performance, resiliency, security, and maintainability across the application estate.
  • Partner closely with product leadership, enterprise architects, infrastructure, platform engineering, and business stakeholders to define strategic solution roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver enterprise-scale outcomes aligned with regulatory and transformation goals.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, design governance, release discipline, and operational excellence across teams; provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior engineers; and drive continuous improvement in quality, observability, automation, and production support maturity.

Your skills and experience

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise content management and document management platforms, with strong expertise in IBM FileNet and/or IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD).
  • Strong understanding of the FileNet product suite, including platform architecture, content services, workflow capabilities, and integration patterns in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience in FileNet platform upgrades, patching, environment maintenance, capacity planning, and lifecycle management across development, test, and production environments.
  • Proven experience in managing platform stability, production support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and operational improvements for business-critical ECM platforms.
  • Good experience with installation, configuration, and administration of FileNet and/or CMOD components, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of platform security, access controls, authentication, and enterprise integration considerations relevant to document management systems.
  • Experience in release management, environment governance, and change execution, with strong control over risk, compliance, and service continuity during upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to lead modernization and transformation initiatives for legacy content management platforms, including migration planning, architecture evolution, and operational simplification.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and operational diagnostics to support administration and troubleshooting of enterprise platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, infrastructure, vendors, and business teams.

Desirable

  • Experience leading enterprise platform teams, driving engineering governance, release discipline, and service excellence for large-scale content management environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery, vendor coordination, infrastructure collaboration, and continuous improvement practices in regulated enterprise environments.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology discipline; advanced technical education or equivalent industry experience is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications from leading cloud or technology providers are preferred, particularly in cloud platforms, container orchestration, security, or enterprise architecture.
