Role description

  • The Senior HR product specialist is a dual hatted role covering the Regional (APAC) Reward advisor and HR Capability Centre Lead (India) roles.
  • Regional Reward Advisor - APAC
  • The Regional Reward Advisor – APAC is a senior subject-matter expert responsible for providing reward and compensation advisory support across the APAC region and contributing to DWS global Reward initiatives. The role ensures that compensation decisions are market-aligned, governance-compliant, and consistent with global reward frameworks, while accommodating local regulatory, market, and cultural considerations across APAC jurisdictions. The role acts as a trusted advisor to the Regional Head of HR and works closely with counterparts in the DWS global Performance & Reward team to ensure appropriate regional representation, alignment and connectivity in relation to global Reward deliverables.

Your key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary APAC performance, reward and benefits subject-matter expert for complex matters including new hires, lateral moves, career progression and promotions.
  • Support the compensation benchmarking process by analysing market data and establishing internal pay ranges to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • Provide expert judgment-based recommendations on fixed pay, variable compensation, and pay mix using approved compensation frameworks and market data.
  • Advise HR and business stakeholders on appropriate application of global reward principles within diverse APAC locations
  • Ensure all APAC compensation proposals comply with Compensation & Benefits Authorization Policy (CBAP), Regional authorization matrices, and Global reward governance standards
  • Contribute to review and enhancement of reward policies and operating documentation, ensuring alignment with both global standards and APAC requirements.
  • Support APAC delivery of - Performance processes, Variable and fixed pay review processes, Promotion cycles, including mid-year cycle for India and Philippines
  • Leverage reward systems and reports (e.g., Workday reports) to - Review compensation proposals, support governance & audit requirements and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Provide support for region/ entity-specific benefit review processes, ensuring benefits offerings remain relevant and competitive within each location.
  • Prepare impactful analysis, meeting materials or presentations as required to facilitate senior stakeholder engagement and DCC approvals

HR Capability Centre Lead (India)

The HR Capability Centre Lead - is responsible for setting the strategic direction, governance, and driving delivery excellence of the DWS HR Capability Centre located in India in partnership with global HR Product leads and the APAC Regional Head of HR. The role provideslocal functional oversight of teams across multiple HR product areas (P&R, OTD, TA and HCI & WFM), and ensures strong partnership with global HR and business stakeholders, and drives scalable, high‑quality HR solutions aligned to DWS HR strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the vision, operating model, and roadmap for the HR Capability Centre in alignment with global HR strategy.
  • Ensuring HR Capability centre solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Drive process standardization, digitization, and operational efficiency across HR services and Lead transformation initiatives across HR products and service delivery models.
  • Partner closely with Global HR, HR Product COEs, and senior HR stakeholders.
  • Build a high‑performing organization by developing capability, succession pipelines, and leadership effectiveness in partnership with global HR Product COEs
  • Foster a strong culture of excellence, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • As a matrix manager provide local supervision to the HR capability centre team.

Your skills and experience

  • Min 12+ years relevant reward specialist / HR capability centre experience
  • MBA or relevant degree qualifications
  • AM/BFSI background preferred, with demonstrable business acumen and commercial understanding
  • Experience in managing / handling key reward processes and other HR product areas
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, a solution-oriented mindset, ability to constructively challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
  • Comfortable with presenting to management groups, with the ability to produce concise presentations, including necessary research and inquiry capabilities
  • Strong MS Excel skills and comfortable with analysing and interpreting People Analytics / HR data.
  • A strong team player with commitment and determination and the ability to lead and inspire team members and other stakeholders
