Details of the Division and Team:

The Business Functional Analyst will play a role in driving transformation initiatives across Capital Markets business lines, bridging the gap between Front Office, Dealers, Operations, Risk and Technology. The role requires capital markets product knowledge, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable business and functional requirements. This position will work closely with the Programme Lead to manage stakeholders in shaping target operating models, re-engineer processes, and deliver high-impact change programs that align with client, business and regulatory objectives of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders across trading, sales, operations, risk, and IT to understand current state processes, systems and pain points.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of business needs for initiatives across asset classes (Structured Products, FX, Equities, Fixed Income).

  • Document and validate high quality business functional requirements.

  • Develop process maps, business workflows, and functional specifications.

  • Facilitate communication at cross-team level to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.

  • Collaborate with business, internal development team, and external vendors to deliver against agreed user requirements.

  • Work closely with vendors to align change requirements and solutioning, and management of changes required due to production issues raised by Business.

  • Manage the rollout and implementation of revised business processes and workflows.

  • Coordinate demos and UAT testing to validate user requirements and verify solutions respectively. As part of UAT, you will be a key actor in test case and data preparation and training of testers.

  • Provide clear and structured updates to stakeholders on change initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Capital Market Transformation Programme Lead in aligning business prioritizations.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field. With minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis within Capital Markets/Investments, with demonstrated involvement in transformation and change-the-bank initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience working with financial products, including Equity Derivatives and FX Derivatives, with exposure to multiple asset classes.

  • Proven track record of capital markets products, including structured products, and experience with Avaloq, MarginMan, or FinIQ platforms.

  • Experience in strong stakeholder management across business, technology, operations and risk/control functions.
