Details of the Division and Team:
The Branch Operations Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all types of payments including processing of physical cash/valuables, as well as the handling of cash related investigations. This includes the processing of time-critical, complex transactions on behalf of the Bank’s internal and external clients, cash-related investigations involving enquiries from clients and internal stakeholders on cash payments before and after execution. It often involves time critical, potentially complex or in some cases regulated tasks including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
The Branch Operations Analyst undertakes the complete and accurate capturing of payment transactions including physical cash/valuables transactions, ensuring that all payment-related information and relevant parties are processed according to established Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and industry guidelines. In addition, the Operator should ensure that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement whether internally within the Bank or for our clients.
The Branch Operations Analyst may also be in direct contact with clients in relation to payment processing offered by the Bank if this is agreed with respective front office functions. They may need to deal with the escalation and remediation of client complaints as well as managing relationships with the front office and other internal and external parties at an appropriate level.
The Branch Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely, complete and accurate processing of relevant information, including performing all relevant controls within own area of responsibility. They undertake time critical, complex or regulated tasks and must ensure the timely escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to the line manager and functional leads as appropriate.
The Branch Operations Analyst may also be responsible for building and managing relationships with the front office and other internal and external parties at an appropriate level, in particular around the more time critical, complex or regulated tasks.
This position holder reports to Head - Cash Operations.

Your key responsibilities:
Audit Controls
Supporting the management of the department in a controlled environment.
Review of work procedures, controls and departmental guidelines received and updating of the departmental key operating procedures on a regular basis.
Addressing issues regarding GCO escalated by staff and/or relevant business lines.
Staff Management / Development
Developing, coordinating, and participating in training programs that focuses on job function.
Coordinating staff availability and leave arrangements.
Providing training, assistance, and guidance to staff especially external staff on STARC guidelines.
Support functions
Vendors - Liaising with vendors on Cash Management related issues including conducting yearly reviews.
Central Bank – on an adhoc basis based on necessity
Clearing House – on an adhoc basis based on necessity
Others
Any responsibilities or tasks that may be assigned (Regional / Local)
Automation initiatives , Process improvements - as mandated by Branch and Region
Cost reduction initiatives driven locally/ regionally.
Reducing manual activity in line with regional goals.
