The Risk Specialist position is within the Risk Management Department of the International Private Bank / Wealth Management.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the front office’s Lending team and Client Advisors and support the growth of WM’s lending book by structuring non-standard transactions, reviewing term sheets, tailor-made documentation and offering risk mitigation alternatives
Analyze, document and approve credit risk of structured transactions across all products (cash, derivatives) and securities – fixed income, equities, (hedge) funds as well as less liquid asset classes (e.g. Private Equity, Real Estate, Aircraft, Art)
In close cooperation with other Risk Management specialists, analyze new types of securities and determine specific collateral values e.g. for Structured Notes, Emerging Market securities, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate (residential / commercial)
Monitor a sub-portfolio of counterparty names in Risk Management Wealth Management EMEA
Handle daily Lending Value shortfalls monitoring activities and following up with the front office
Transparent communication of decision-making including risk analysis & approval conditions
Contribute to various ongoing or new projects in Risk Management Wealth Management
Credit authority under 4-eye principle targeted.
Skills:
2–3 years of experience in Credit Risk
Good understanding of alternative and illiquid investments (Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Hedge Funds) and their key risk and valuation drivers.
Experience with fundamental credit analysis, valuation methodologies (DCF, Comparable/Multiple Approach), and knowledge of financial markets and products.
Fluent in English (verbal and written); French/German is considered a strong advantage.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk topics into clear recommendations for senior management.
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or a related field are advantageous;
