Job Title - Production Change Manager, Associate

Location - Bangalore, India

Role Description

The Production Change Management function ensures that required changes to the production IT environment are correctly recorded and subjected to the appropriate levels of risk assessment, structured planning, co-ordination, pre and post implementation testing/verification and authorization, prior to implementation. The function provides a necessary level of independent control, due diligence and impartial guidance to help ensure that all changes to the Bank’s production IT environment are compliant with the Bank’s IT Management Policy and Production Change Management Procedure. Production Change Management’s primary objective is to ensure the ongoing stability of the Bank’s production services, which provide internal, external and regulatory related auditors confidence that the Bank maintains appropriately robust and complete controls around changes made to key and critical IT systems.

The Production Change Manager performs IT Change Manager responsibilities described as:

  • Execution of the independent governance for the Production Change Management process.
  • Facilitation and resolution of requests from end users.
  • Management and chairing of the Change Advisory Board Meetings.
  • Support and participation of Change Management related issues in regard to Problem and Incident Management.
  • Supporting the Production Change Administrators in overall governance of the Production Change Management process.
  • Overall Production Change Management process reporting requirements
  • The Production Change Management function’s primary stakeholders are employees and contracted vendors who are involved in requesting, planning, managing, authorizing and/or undertaking changes to the production IT environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the independent control and due diligence on change request tickets to the Production IT environment.
  • This includes the complete quality assurance and completeness checking of change request tickets prior to approval.
  • Retrospective quality assurance and completeness checking
  • Prioritisation of the review of Normal and Emergency change request tickets
  • Managing and prioritising requests from end users.
  • Preparation and chairing of Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Participating in UAT and Regression testing of the Change Module in ServiceNow, including weekends where required.
  • Managing and conferring with Production Change Administrators in relation to end user escalations and process adherence.
  • Support for exceptional change restrictions events.
  • Perform and deliver Production Change Management reporting on an ad-hoc basis to support IT service management or audit needs.
  • Participate in Problem Management and Incident ticket review for Change related incidents.
  • Support Production Change Administrators in any Audit related demonstrations or evidence gathering.
  • Responsible for own personal development and training to ensure you remain up to day on any adjustments to the Production Change Management policy to perform at a high level consistently.

Your skills and experience

Qualifications

  • Experience in performing IT Change Manager role including running Change Advisory board meetings with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience gained largely in a heterogeneous IT organization.
  • Strong ITIL aligned service management experience
  • ServiceNow Experience is preferred but not essential
  • Sound and broad technology experience/exposure in either or both infrastructure and application technology is preferred.

  • Have good communication both verbal and written.
