Team / division overview

Regional Finance UK team’s primary responsibilities comprise the analysis and reporting of financial position and performance of the standalone UK entities and sub-businesses of DWS used by Regional CFOs, Business FDs, external auditors, regulators, and various teams within DWS.​ The team ensures timely and accurate reporting of the financials which are critical in making informed decision and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

As Senior Regional Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial reporting requirements used internally and externally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review month-end results of specific APAC entities, coordinate with various DWS Manila teams and onshore stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure accuracy of Financial Statements for statutory annual audit
  • Balance sheet deep dive/balance sheet substantiation process/Review Aging
  • Preparation of reports (including tax related requirements) for regulatory submission
  • Preparation of internal reports/analysis including commentary/variance analysis
  • Support adhoc queries and reporting requirements, if any, in a timely & accurate manner
  • Assist/support project deliverables and process improvement initiatives
  • Keep all operational guidelines updated and ensure adherence to standards, KPIs, objectives and other metrics requirements & procedures

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or Finance-related equivalent with Accounting courses
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills through careful and systematic evaluation of information, identifying linkages and trends from individual events and data points; seeing the context and providing solutions that address the issue and the big-picture
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgement to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
  • Knowledge of SAP system is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel
