ROLE SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Duke Psychiatry Education Training Programs under the supervision of the Administrative Manager of Education who works in concert with the Program Directors and reports to the Vice Chair of Education. The coordinator will be responsible for managing complex, long-range administrative functions related to the educational mission and initiatives of the Training Programs.
The Program Coordinator may perform duties included but are not limited to:
- Planning and coordination of academic and operational activities as required;
- Planning and execution of routine and special projects and events as required;
- Administrative support as needed to Program Directors
- Serving as backup to Residency Program Coordinator as needed.
Job Responsibilities are outlined below:
The Program Coordinator will primarily work in concert with the Education Division Administration team to carry out the day-to-day processes of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Training Programs. The Program Coordinator will also assist with other projects associated with the Education Division. The Program Coordinator will be the main point of contact and partner for the Training Directors, and will be directly involved with activities related to the planning of Recruitment, Onboarding/Orientation, Graduation, etc. The responsibilities listed below are some but not inclusive of all actions that the Program Coordinator may need to be involved in.

Required Qualifications
Education/Training
Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a business or related field.
Experience
Work requires 3 years of related business or administrative experience to acquire competence in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative functions.
A Masters degree in business related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience Or any other equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
HYBRID WORK: There is a possibility of a Hybrid Remote/Onsite work schedule with a discussion and defined terms of the relationship with Program Directors and Education Programs Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
A bachelor’s degree is required. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. -
Experience:
At least one year of experience in program administration or in academic, instructional, or counseling activities is required to develop the skills necessary to plan, coordinate, and implement a variety of program activities and events.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered.

Anticipated Pay Range
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position of USD $43,888.00 to USD $70,300.00. Salary offers are based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and market and organizational considerations.
