What You’ll Do:
- Lead Colloquia Planning & Execution:
Serve as the primary organizer for two major university-sponsored colloquia in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. You’ll manage logistics, scheduling, and coordination with campus partners to ensure successful events. - Support the Provost’s Initiative:
Act as Head Preceptor for the Transformative Ideas: The Good Life course, overseeing instructional logistics, grading workflows, and coordination with faculty, guest lecturers, and TAs. - Course Leadership:
In Spring, serve as Head Preceptor for the Pluralism, Free Inquiry, and Belonging course. You’ll help shape pedagogical content and collaborate on PFB labs with faculty and the TI Faculty Director. - Programmatic Engagement:
Provide on-site support for high-impact events such as the Fall Retreat, Welcome Dinners, and other student-centered programming.
What You’ll Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in program administration or academic support (or equivalent education/experience).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams, evaluate program performance, and coordinate resources effectively.
- Proficiency in tools like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Qualtrics, Outlook, and Box.
- Availability for occasional evening/weekend events.
- A proactive, professional approach to working with faculty, staff, and leadership.
Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $48,960.00 to USD $77,928.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
