Our Corporate Advisory / M&A team is dedicated to providing unparalleled capital markets advisory services to our public and private real estate clients. The group uniquely combines strong relationships, capital markets expertise, and real estate knowledge to provide corporate clients with outstanding advice. The U.S. Corporate Advisory / M&A team is based out of Eastdil Secured’s New York and San Francisco offices. The team’s primary areas of focus include:

  • Public and private M&A
  • Entity-level sale and recapitalizations
  • Equity and debt capital raising
  • Portfolio & asset-level joint ventures
  • GP stake sales and LP secondary sales

Essential Functions

The individual would assume significant responsibilities that may include:

  • Working closely with senior team members on presentations and financial analyses
  • Developing complex financial analyses, including entity and portfolio level valuations, merger, and other relevant financial analyses
  • Performing comprehensive in-depth company, real estate, and market analysis
  • Reviewing public company financial statements and preparing company comparable analysis
  • Preparing client materials and internal deliverables
  • Managing and quarterbacking deal process from pitch to transaction closing
  • Participating in and in some cases leading client meetings, management meetings, due diligence visits, site tours, and other client interactions

Education and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of investment banking, commercial real estate, or other relevant financial services

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

The individual must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and distinguished written and oral communication skills. The individual will be required to manage multiple significant projects simultaneously, working effectively both as an individual unit and as part of a multi-functional team.

  • Advanced excel-based financial modeling skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of real estate transactions with advanced underwriting techniques and deep understanding of equity and debt capitalization structures
  • Ability to conceptualize real estate investment opportunities within the framework of relevant microeconomic and macroeconomic factors
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high quality work under tight time frames
