About the role:

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Distribution Manager to join our Institutional team. This is a critical role where you will oversee and drive improvements and efficiencies across our complex distribution network.

Utilizing your expert knowledge, coupled with your magnificent influencing skills, you will seek out opportunities for improvement and be an agent of change. You will drive the analysis of distribution’s KPI’s, areas for development and introduce best practice methodologies. You are the link between Ecolab Institutional Belgium and its Distributors network (sales, purchase, communication and opportunities)

What You Will Do:

  • You build up and maintain regular personal contacts with key distributors in Belgium and Luxembourg ;

  • You negotiate national cross-divisional distribution agreements;

  • You manage relations to all relevant internal interfaces (e.g. company managers, national divisions, European Distribution Organization);

  • You contribute to all national or cross-functional matters (pricing, marketing, launches, sales promotions);

  • You develop and implement a national cross-divisional distribution strategy including planning and controlling in line with European distribution strategy;

  • You plan, implement and control all budgeting activities in the area of responsibility;

  • You have weekly meetings with the sellout and billback team in Krakau (remote) ;

  • You provide an adequate reporting of distribution results to European responsible and provide information to divisions managers;

  • You make pricing analysis and billback controlling of data and figures ;

  • You report results of customer contacts and planned activities according to guidelines, QS standards and systems;

  • You monitor and report markets in own area of responsibility (customer needs, competitors, prices);

  • 1 day per week in the head office in Groot-Bijgaarden required;

  • You report to the Head of Sales Benelux.

To be successful, you will need:

  • You have tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Engineering or a another related field due to studies or experience;

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a business related environment;

  • You have influencing, tactical and strategic thinking skills across all level;

  • You have knowledge of financial measurement and ROI;

  • Strong computer literacy and a demonstrated use of technology to improve performance;

  • Industry-related experience in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality and/or pool and spa would be an asset;

  • You have excellent communication skills;

  • You speak Dutch and French and have an excellent knowledge of English.

  • Ability to travel will be a prerequisite for this role.
