OBJECTIVES

  • Support implementation of Total Water Management (TWM) Pilot project: partner with Project Design Engineer to provide project engineering support for pilot on site
  • Project Management of TWM Trial pilot projects: leads the execution phase guiding sub-contractors; supervises commissioning, start up and on-going support to pilot operator
  • Assure correct demobilization of the pilot and regular maintenance of the TWM pilot rental fleet
  • Assure on-going remote support in cooperation with Project Design Engineer and Scalable Solution Development Team
  • Support O&M (Operation Maintenance) team for troubleshooting and continuous improvement implementation in existing TWM contracts.

Recommended profile

  • Education: Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience with the commissioning & start-up, operation & maintenance of water and/or wastewater equipment and systems, including clarification, filtration, membrane separation, RO/UF, DAF, solids separation, metals, removal and biological, to industrial clients.
  • Having familiarity with water treatment plant engineering key design parameters
  • Communication skills: English fluent written and verbal
  • People relating attitude and capable to work in team
  • Strong commercial mindset and financial acumen
  • Synthesis and pragmatic approach
  • Able to manage conflict and job-related pressure
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of time
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office suite, and ability to learn business systems) . Autocad preferred.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Functionally report in the SGS Engineering organization to the TWM Engineering Manager.
  • Based in Spain and have regular contact with his/her direct supervisor.
  • Be competent in a wide range of water treatment process technologies and have proven experience about their operation and maintenance.
  • Be familiar with engineering drawings (P&ID, General Arrangement, Isometric sketches, data sheets, troubleshooting list, electrical and automation drawings, etc..).
  • Be able to analyze water and wastewater systems from a mechanical, operational and chemical standpoint and propose solutions that comply with pilot trial needs
  • Proactively works with clients and Ecolab/Nalco colleagues to determine project trial needs.
  • Be able to communicate with many levels of personnel with Nalco Company and external (i.e. Customer, Contractors).
  • Maintain customer relationships and coordinate to address technical/business issues and renewals within sold O&M accounts.
  • Assist on existing OM contracts for troubleshooting and diagnostic and Improvements identification
  • Be aware of most used international standards and norms required for equipment construction and certification.
  • Be aware of Safety & Environmental aspects of legislation.
