Logistics Supervisor

The primary focus of the Logistics Supervisor role is to oversee transportation and customer service functions which may include but are not limited too the following: supervision of a 4-5 member team, oversight of reverse logistics functions, supporting planning operations and project management as directed. In addition, this individual will be on the front lines of logistics KPI development for the industrial sector and will eventually support the Blue Yonder TMS platform.
Independence Level/Reports to: Personnel must be able to work with a high level of independence. The responsibilities and tasks for the team are not completely defined and may expand in scope over the next 6 to 12 months. Initial work responsibilities will be structured and the team will eventually support daily operations in North America (NA). Personnel will report to transportation leadership in NA.
The role will allow a candidate to successfully own the returns process for Nalco Water, support shipment creation and a variety of order to cash functions. Candidates can also expect to support the hiring process for the teams expansion as well as SOP development for interfacing with the TMS platform and SAP.

What You Will Do:
- Interface With Customer Service Teams In NA
- Create Return Deliveries, Return Shipments And Distribute BOL Outputs Through SAP
- Partner With External Parties Such As RMS To Book Carriers
- Negotiate Carrier Pick-Ups With 3rd Party Production Locations
- Maintain Return Process SOPs Through TMS Deployment
- Supervise A Local Team In BA Of 4 – 5 Individuals
- Support & Design Wave Planning Operations In NA
- Support & Design PGI Operations And Standards
- Documentation Of Work Processes & Procedures
- Maintain And Develop Communication Standards Between BA and NA Teams
- Frequently Collaborate With NA Based Logistics Managers And Associate Logistics Managers On Ad Hoc Projects
- Additional Duties As Assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent warehousing experience
- Excellent verbal, written and timely communication skills
- Excellent English-Speaking skills
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Experience leading small teams
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel
- Lean Six Sigma training
- Prior SAP experience
- Prior WMS experience
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting transportation or billing operations
- Very high proficiency with deadline related tasks
- Strong analytical acumen, problem solving and process design experience
