The Role

For our Ecolab Plant in Mandra we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer.

The plant in Mandra produces cleaners, sanitizers and disinfectants for hospitality, food processing plants and other industries. The Maintenance Engineer supports the maintenance team in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

This entry-level position focuses on assisting with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and learning advanced maintenance practices. The role reports to the Plant Engineer and interacts with other peers on the plant to continuously improve and develop the processes in chemical manufacturing, safety quality, planning, procurement and distribution.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer are:

  • Monitor maintenance plan and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

  • Support troubleshooting and repair activities under supervision.

  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.

  • Assist in implementing safety process by supporting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) activities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

  • Follow established procedures and conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations for structures, systems, and components.

  • Identify and continuously improve site infrastructure needs (e.g., energy, water, treatment systems, steam) through strategic planning and execution.

  • Collaborate with the plant leadership team to drive TPM improvement programs, focusing on key priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (required).

  • 1–2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).

  • Basic understanding of maintenance principles and tools.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawings and design.

  • Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple assignments effectively.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Capacity to collaborate across multiple disciplines (Engineering, Regulatory, Production, QA, Logistics) and organizational levels (managerial, professional, and operational).

  • Commitment to safety standards and practices.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
