About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Nalco Water Mining team in Western Australia. In this role you will be responsible for building effective and mutually beneficial relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction with our service delivery. You will use your consultative sales approach to build relationships by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you will also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

You will preferably live in the Kalgoorlie area as you will be working with our clients that are predominantly based in the WA Goldfields.

Critical to the role will be your ability to travel with 30% overnight stays.

Full and extensive technical and sales training will be provided.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the service of our customers in the sector and supporting field trials of process reagents.

  • Equipment testing, water sampling, chemical analysis and ensuring the optimal application of chemical treatment programs.

  • Assisting with the troubleshooting of technical problems in a timely manner to ensure ongoing chemical treatment of process unit operations and water treatment facilities.

  • Working with the direct assistance of our existing Account Managers to gain new business via focused planning, targeted prospecting, industry networking, and partnership with internal sales and support teams

  • Developing strong client relationships by driving value added and focused service delivery.

  • Managing customer inventories and product delivery

  • Gaining a better understanding of our in-field process and water treatment services.

By nature, you will ideally demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with both internal & external customers

  • Good mechanical aptitude, delivering a hands-on approach to service execution and adding value

  • The ability to work independently and remotely

  • A tremendous will to succeed and continue your learning & development

  • High commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality.

Technically, you will preferably have:

  • Successful background in sales and/ or have mineral process operations or water treatment experience

  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and strong mechanical and technical problem-solving ability.

  • A background in technical / mechanical reasoning

  • A driver’s license
