Ecolab is seeking a BI Analyst to join the Global Business Intelligence (BI) team, contributing to BI development efforts and driving business process improvement through analytics and reporting. This role requires proven proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack and familiarity with Snowflake and cloud-based data architectures. The ideal candidate will work on complex, cross-functional projects and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across finance and sales teams.

What You Will Do:
- Design and develop data visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights and support decision-making.
- Contribute to BI dashboard development on cross-functional projects; manage various phases of project lifecycles.
- Define and adhere to enterprise BI development standards and best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into reporting solutions.
- Work with data engineers to support data pipelines and ensure sustainability and performance of reporting solutions.
- Optimize dashboard performance and user experience to maximize adoption and impact.
- Contribute to deployment strategies and project-specific delivery plans.
- Promote data-driven decision-making and the adoption of self-service BI tools across divisions and markets.
- Provide input on data governance, reporting strategy, and business insights.
- Participate in wireframe and dashboard design discussions.
Technical Environment
- Microsoft Power BI and Azure Analysis Services (AAS)
- Snowflake (Cloud Data Warehouse)
- SQL/T-SQL, stored procedures, data modeling
- Data warehousing, ETL, and reporting architecture
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- 1+ years of experience developing data visualizations and self-service BI dashboards.
- 1-2 years of SQL programming and experience with data extraction from complex datasets.
- Proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design.
- Strong report and visualization design skills aligned with end-user needs.
- Strong data analytical, validation and troubleshooting skills of systems and reports
- Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understand business questions related to analytics, with the ability to communicate data insights through visually compelling reports.
- Experience interacting with a diverse, global team across multiple business segments; comfortable working with various organizational levels.
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to successfully manage core responsibilities and balance multiple priorities.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into scalable BI artifacts (reports, dashboards, KPIs).
- Experience with BI architecture, data modeling, and ETL development.
- Experience with other data analytics tools such as Python or R.
- Experience in using support tools such as ServiceNow and ADO.
