This Senior Marketing Manager role is responsible for guiding the development and execution of the strategy for the Laundry, Housekeeping (Surface Hygiene) and hand hygiene portfolios. They are responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team of marketers who partner with R&D on developing future innovation roadmaps and driving innovation through the phase gate process and who partner with our sales organization to identify insights and commercialize new products out to the marketplace. This role will play a critical leadership role in leading one of the Mega innovations in Institutional. In the meantime, they are responsible for delivering enhanced portfolio margins, improved competitiveness in the market and category optimization.

This role is highly cross-functional, requiring significant collaboration with other functions (marketing, sales, finance, R&D, supply chain, training, etc.), strong business acumen, communication within all levels of the organization and strong customer and sales understanding. This role must also partner across the enterprise to develop strategic alignment with corporate strategies and divisions that sell similar offerings and functions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities, passion for customers, high energy and commitment to help solve big problems.

What You Will Do:

Strategy & Innovation

  • Lead portfolio strategy for program and product assortment to meet annual sales and profit objectives.
  • Partner with R&D, Sales and other marketing associates to create future path for Housekeeping & handcare portfolios including: develop strong market and competitive understanding, determine customer value on different factors within our programs, understand sales team mentality and drivers of selling different programs.
  • Identify portfolio gaps and initiate innovation opportunities including owning Phase Gate development and project management from concept to launch.
  • Lead OnPremiseIQ – digital laundry innovation program from feasibility to launch.
  • Day-to-day portfolio and P&L management, including but not limited to forecasting, monthly performance reporting and innovation tracking

Product Launch & Sales Activation

  • Understand customer value drivers to help develop Gain, Grow and Retain sales initiatives.
  • Provide Ecolab sales force with leadership and marketing support, including sales tools, training, competitive intelligence and actionable reporting.
  • Partner with Corporate Account sales and Field team on key customer initiatives including pitching innovations and market tests

Team Management & Coaching

  • Provide timely and valuable feedback and coaching to team.
  • Collaborate with critical functions, including sales, finance, R&D, etc.
  • Perform annual performance reviews, manage IDP conversations.
  • On-board new marketing associates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in developing and launching new products/services
  • Experience in developing marketing strategy
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business-to-business marketing experience
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
  • Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills; setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements and proven track record of results

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $133,700.00 - $200,600.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
