Statutory and Tax Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our European Statutory and Taxation Accounting Team. This role will be responsible for preparation of statutory financial statements, external audit, direct tax accounting, reporting and compliance, relationships and interactions with authorities. This position will serve as a key contact for local finance professionals within Ecolab and our external advisors.
What You Will Do
Prepare annual statutory financial statements and support the external statutory audit process for European entities
Aided by external tax service provider and in coordination with the Global Tax Reporting team - deliver income tax accounting and reporting as well as annual tax returns
Gather additional tax and statutory information as required by various departments
Responsible for income tax payments and related accounts
Assist with interactions with authorities in coordination with local teams
Partner with other members of the Finance Organization (Transfer Pricing, Planning & Analysis, GL Accounting, Treasury, Legal Department, others) and with external advisors to ensure new accounting, business, statutory or tax developments are properly incorporated into statutory financial statements and CIT returns
Actively support the introduction of automation, standardization and new technologies for in-scope processes
Deliver ad-hoc tax and statutory reporting projects and requests
Reports to Statutory and Tax Accounting Manager
Who Are We Looking For
Candidates holding a higher education degree, preferably in accounting, audit, taxation
At least 3 years' experience in preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements and/or income tax accounting experience; alternatively - experience as audit seniors (senior auditor)
Experience in supporting annual statutory audits or local tax audits
European language skills an advantage
Knowledge of European GAAPs, UK GAAP, IFRS, income tax
