Ecolab is seeking a Senior Human Resources Representative to join our Canadian Human Resources team. Based out of Ecolab Canada’s Mississauga office, this role will support a client group of approximately 300+ employees across the country. Responsibilities include leading and executing strategic and tactical talent priorities that deliver an engaging, high performance work environment including, but not limited to staffing, compensation administration, associate engagement, talent development, performance management, employee, and labour relations.

What You Will Do

  • Provide forward thinking HR consultation on strategic and operational issues.
  • Drive talent acquisition, talent development, engagement, and retention initiatives ensuring talent pipeline to achieve short and long-term objectives.
  • Coach and develop managers in the areas of employee relations, performance management, talent development, and other key areas.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement of core HR service delivery.
  • Create opportunities to enhance the culture and associate engagement, including effective Engagement Survey Action Planning.
  • Serve as a resource to both managers and associates by providing policy and procedure interpretation.
  • Drive development of new policies and procedures as necessary to support the business.
  • Mitigate organizational risk by ensuring compliance with all employment laws.
  • Work in conjunction with Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure the organization’s recruiting needs are handled effectively.
  • Provide HR related data and reporting to leaders in order to promote data driven decision making and strategy development.
  • Lead and participate in business and human resources projects.
  • Facilitate the coordination, implementation and evaluation of DE&I events, communication, initiatives, and partnerships to the DE&I Onsite Committee.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Position Details:

  • Location: Mississauga, ON
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid (onsite 3-days/week or per business need) with willingness to work additional hours or otherwise go above and beyond when critical issues require. Some overnight travel may be required.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or other related area
  • 5 years of human resources experience, with an emphasis in HR Generalist experience
  • Proficiency in Workday or similar system and Microsoft Office applications
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP or CHRL designation
  • Previous HR experience with multi-site responsibilities
  • Customer-service focused
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to coach, develop and train managers and other HR associates.
  • French language skills are an asset

Annual Compensation Range

This position has base salary and is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan, per plan terms. Total expected compensation is in the range of $98,900 – $123,600.

Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
