This Supply Chain Finance role reports to the Director, Procurement and Logistics Finance Europe and partners with Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning and Logistics operational teams. This role is focused on establishing and ensuring that financial accounting, compliance, SOX and sustainability reporting processes operate effectively and efficiently in the respective functional areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations and processes within the European supply chain function. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, other finance peers as well as the audit team to ensure accurate financial reporting, accounting and compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the success of Ecolab's global supply chain.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Coordinate and manage annual audit activities related to supply chain finance, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and communication with auditors both internal and external.
  • Supervise month-end financial close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for supply chain costs.
  • Manage SOX controls across Europe Supply Chain through coordinating activities, providing guidance and raising the standards
  • Coordinate month end activities with Accounting and Controlling Team, Plant controlling, Logistics, E&O and GBS+ Teams
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and tools to analyze supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage and develop one direct report as well as intern(s)
  • Play active role in Digitalization journey to enable improved reporting capabilities.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to supply chain operations
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, SOX controls and reporting
  • Fluent in English, other European language is a plus
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Financial Controlling experience with real business ownership/exposure (not only transactional support)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in multinational environment / matrix organization.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience and/or desire to learn about ERP/BI systems and reporting and analysis platforms
  • Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, PowerPoint), Hyperion Financial Management, Enterprise Performance Management (HFM/EPM) & Power BI
