The role:

In this integral position, you will plan, organise and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time and within budget at our Hamilton Plant. You will implement and oversee the production schedule and monitor daily output. You will have close working relationships with a variety of people, including the production planner, who you will review and adjust the production schedule with. Work Schedule: 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team to meet daily production targets

  • Execute production plans in line with budgeted standards and KPIs

  • Communicate production plans and performance outcomes effectively

  • Partner with internal teams (Quality, Planning, Logistics) and external stakeholders

  • Ensure adherence to quality systems and product specifications

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and standards

  • Provide regular reporting on production performance and key metrics

  • Identify and implement process improvements using TPM/Lean principles

  • Support cost reduction and product quality improvement initiatives

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in production supervision and/or quality control within a chemical manufacturing or related industry

  • Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to influence and coach others

  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production processes

  • Experience or exposure to TPM, Lean, or continuous improvement is highly regarded

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
